Sometimes the difference between a Blessing and a Curse is simply the intent behind them.
Hellionds
Those that the planet deem to be "treasonous" to the war against the Manticrabs often get cursed enough to be deemed Hellionds.
The example to the right is of a serial killer who started feeding other Highlionds to a Manticrab because of their obsession with the manner in which Manticrabs eat. Upon discovery, the planet smashed their bodies together so that the Highliond could feel the intense, eternal hunger of the Manticrab firsthand. Their body parts slosh around as they fight to separate from one another, but to no avail. Often the hunger causes them to try and eat themself but their body parts just slide through them and appease nothing. |
A more 'common' example is that of those who steal MantaChitin from others to try and claim a Blessing that they did not earn. It's a 50/50 chance on being caught, so some do get away with it, however... Getting caught means having your body be consumed by chitin until you can no longer move and become some crusty statue unless someone is willing to put you out of your misery.
